Conditions of Use

Agreement

Each order for goods to be supplied by the Seller shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to purchase the goods upon these Conditions and shall be accepted entirely at the discretion of the Seller. These Conditions shall apply to all orders accepted by the Seller and shall override and take the place of any other terms and conditions produced or referred to by the Buyer. No other terms and conditions shall be included or implied unless previously agreed upon in writing by the Seller and in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Conditions and the terms of the Buyer's order, these Conditions shall prevail.

Terms of Payment

Prices, VAT and administration charges where applicable are strictly net and payment is due prior to delivery, on delivery or within 30 days of invoice date (subject to credit status), when the full invoice value becomes due. No set-off for any reason will be allowed. The time of payment shall be of the essence of the contract. Should credit not be met, payment is required in advance of goods dispatch.  All items of furniture remain the property of Barkham Office Furniture until paid for in full. 

Prices

Every effort has been made to ensure that prices and product details are correct at the time of purchase. Prices will only change in exceptional circumstances such as large unforeseen increases in raw materials or significant currency fluctuations. All prices are exclusive to VAT, which will be charged at the rate prevailing at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to make product changes, price changes and improvements during the life of the online shop.

Ownership

Ownership of the goods sold shall, notwithstanding delivery, remain with the Seller until the Seller has received full payment for such goods. Until full payment has been made, the Seller may at any time, (and without prejudice to any of its other rights) recover or resell the goods or any part of them and may enter on the Buyer's premises for this purpose. The Buyer may not resell the goods to which the Seller retains the title unless he informs such third party of this Condition of the sale prior.

Delivery

Prior to delivery please ensure that the area where your new furniture is to be assembled and fitted is cleared, and where applicable that the lifts are made available to our installers. Please also ensure that other work likely to interfere with the installation is completed (e.g. Carpet fitting and decorating). If there is likely to be a delay please notify our Sales Office at the earliest opportunity. We reserve the right to charge for delays not notified before the delivery is dispatched.

Specifications

Technical data, dimensions, weights, etc., set out on this website are a guide only, and no guarantee is given or implied that goods will conform in absolute detail to the description and illustrations, set out in such materials. The Seller reserves the right to amend specifications and to withdraw goods from sale without any prior notice.

Cancellations of Orders/Deliveries

Cancellation of standard stock items must be in writing. The Company reserves the right to charge an administration fee. Orders for non-stock items (specials) cannot be cancelled once the order has been accepted. A charge will be levied against any deliveries that are not accepted on the confirmed delivery/installation date.

Returns Policy

Contact us within 7 days of receipt (starting the day after delivery) - All we ask is that the product is returned to us in the condition in which the Buyer received it, with the original packaging at the Buyers own cost.

Fabrics

When ordering fabrics to colour match, please be aware that every batch of material can differ when cut from another run.

Wood Finishes

While manufacturers strive to achieve excellent colour matching, real wood veneer is a natural product and shade matching cannot be guaranteed. Exposure to natural light will alter wood colour over a period of time. Pictures on our website should only be used as a guide.

Guarantee

The Seller guarantees all second hand goods offered for a period of 3 months and new products for 1-5 years unless otherwise stated from the date of sale provided that 1. It is established to the reasonable satisfaction of the Seller that some part of the material used in manufacturing was defective; and 2. The goods have not been subject to misuse or abuse of any kind.  This guarantee does not extend to wear and tear.
